Alexa Finley sits outside her family's two horse stalls to start getting ready for her show in the Junior Exhibitor Five Gaited Pony division. After hair, makeup, and wardrobe Alexa gathers her things to head over to the barn of the horse she'll be riding in this year's show. After winning on her family's horse last year other well known trainers are now seeking her out to ride for them. Alexa's grandmother wishes her good luck and reminds her to have fun. Many family members remind her to have fun and place the emphasis on fun and loving this demanding lifestyle they lead. Alexa ties her tie for the show as she boards the golf cart to head to Charm's barn. Charm has a little wild side to him so the trainer has asked Alexa to wear more a more subtle suit to balance out his personality, though Junior Exhibitor's often show in more colorful ensembles. Alexa poses for a portrait at the barn where the horse she'll be riding is stalled. Alexa nervously looks towards the stalls as she awaits her time to leave for the show. Alexa and her aunt and mom all pile into a golf cart to take her to the arena entrance where she'll mount Charm and lead him into the show. Alexa and Charm enter the arena for the show. Alexa is given 7th place in the division. "That was so much fun," she exclaims, "I'm so proud of him." Alexa was given a ribbon for placing in 7th in the division. Alexa returns to Charm's stall to dote on him after he gives what she notes his best ride yet. She is genuinely committed to connecting with Charm and praising his efforts completely. As her family gathers, Alexa lovingly feeds and waters the two horses they have brought to the fair. Her aunt will show them in different divisions later in the week. The sun sets on the barns where all the horses are temporarily stalled during the Kentucky State Fair's World Championship Horse Show.
